Darolyn Meder-Holland grew up in northern New Hampshire riding her horses through miles of old logging roads and working summers on a dairy farm. Her fascination with and love for animals and nature knows no bounds. She began sketching and carrying a camera everywhere at an early age.

Darolyn moved west in her late teens, pursuing goals that would allow a life surrounded by animals and the natural world. For Darolyn, that meant a degree in Animal Science and Zoology from Colorado State University and a move north to Montana, where her first childhood horse was from.

Darolyn has been painting and photographing animals and scenery for as long as she can remember. While her work in the veterinary medical field has always fueled her technical interests, her passion is caring for the animals in her life and interpreting their beauty through photography, painting and sharing that joy with others.

Darolyn lives in central Montana with her husband, two children and numerous critters.
